Pengaruh Pemberian Dosis Dolomit Cangkang Kerang dan Pemberian Pupuk Tunggal ZA Yang Berbeda Terhadap Pertumbuhan Bibit Bud Set Tanaman Tebu (Saccharum officinarum L.)

Utilization of shells waste can be used as a substitute for dolomite which can improve
the physical, chemical and biological fertility of the soil. This study aims to
determine the growth response of single budset sugarcane seedlings. On giving
dolomite shells. This research was conducted at the LPP Polytechnic Practice Garden,
Wedomartani Village, Ngemplak District, Sleman Regency, Yogyakarta Special
Region from March to May 2021 (3 months). The experiments were arranged in a
factorial Randomized Block Design (RBD). The first factor was the provision of clam
shell dolomite (DCK) which consisted of 5 treatments, namely: without DCK (P0), 5
grams of DCK (P1), 10 grams of DCK (P2), 15 grams of DCK (P3) and 20 grams of
DCK ( P4). The second factor was the administration of a single dose of ZA fertilizer
which consisted of 5 treatments, namely: without administration (N0), 1.37 grams of
ZA (N1), 2.06 grams of ZA (N2), 2.75 grams of ZA (N3) and 3 ,43 grams of ZA
(N4).
There were 25 treatment combinations and repeated 3 times so that there were a total
of 75 experimental units. Each experimental unit consisted of 1 plant for a total of 75
plants. The results showed that there was no interaction between the treatment of
giving dolomite from clam shells with the application of ZA single fertilizer. While
the single factor of giving dolomite from clam shells only affected the variable height
of sugarcane plants. The treatment of giving ZA single fertilizer had an effect on the
variable of sugarcane plant height. Giving 10 grams of DCK resulted in the best plant
height, number of leaves, diameter and root length.
