ANALISIS PERBANDINGAN VARIETAS FELDA ML161 DAN PPKS 540 TERHADAP PRODUKTIVITAS KELAPA SAWIT DI PT. JAYA MANDIRI SUKSES

Oil palm is a significant contributor to the national economy, with high production driven by the rising demand for its derivative products. This study aimed to determine whether there were productivity differences between the Felda ML161 and PPKS 540 oil palm varieties and to identify the influence of rainfall and fertilization on oil palm productivity at PT. Jaya Mandiri Sukses. The research was conducted at the Kulim Estate on mineral soil areas planted in 2007. Samples were selected using purposive sampling, comprising 16 sample blocks—evenly divided into 8 blocks of the Felda ML161 variety and 8 blocks of the PPKS 540 variety. The variables examined included crop productivity (ton/ha/year) as the dependent variable, and rainfall (mm/year) and actual fertilization (kg/ha/year) as independent variables, utilizing secondary data from the 2020–2024 period. Data analysis was performed using an Independent Samples T-Test and multiple linear regression analysis. The Independent Samples T-Test results revealed a statistically significant difference in productivity between the two varieties (p=0.021 < 0.05), with the Felda ML161 variety consistently yielding an average productivity 1.47 ton/ha/year higher than the PPKS 540 variety. Multiple linear regression analysis indicated that rainfall and fertilization during the current year did not have a significant partial effect on the productivity of either variety (p > 0.05). The study concludes that the Felda ML161 variety demonstrates a clear productivity advantage over the PPKS 540 variety on the mineral soil of the Kulim Estate, whereas fluctuations in annual productivity were not directly influenced by rainfall or fertilization.
