STUDI KOMPARATIF PENGGUNAAN JARING PADA BAK DUMP TRUCK TERHADAP KAPASITAS MUATAN, LOSSES, DAN WAKTU PENGANGKUTAN JANJANG KOSONG DI PT SAWITA KARYA MANUNGGUL

This study aimed to determine the differences in actual load capacity, losses, and empty fruit bunch transportation time between dump trucks using nets and dump trucks without nets at PT Sawita Karya Manunggul. This study used a quantitative approach with a comparative design. The sample consisted of 8 dump trucks, including 4 units using nets and 4 units without nets. Each unit was observed for 4 trips, resulting in 32 observations, with 16 observations in each group. The data were analyzed using descriptive analysis, the Shapiro-Wilk normality test, Levene's homogeneity test, and the Independent Samples t-Test. The descriptive analysis showed that the average actual load capacity of dump trucks using nets was 6,953.13 kg/trip, while dump trucks without nets had an average of 4,938.75 kg/trip, with a mean difference of 2,014.38 kg/trip. The average losses for dump trucks using nets were 5.83 kg/trip, compared with 29.78 kg/trip for dump trucks without nets, with a mean difference of 23.95 kg/trip. The average transportation time for dump trucks using nets was 39.96 minutes/trip, while dump trucks without nets had an average of 29.64 minutes/trip, with a mean difference of 10.32 minutes/trip. The Shapiro-Wilk test showed that the data for actual load capacity, losses, and transportation time were normally distributed. Levene's test showed that the variances of the two groups were homogeneous, with significance values of 0.986 for actual load capacity, 0.642 for losses, and 0.942 for transportation time. The Independent Samples t-Test showed a Sig. (2-tailed) value of < 0.001 for all three parameters. Therefore, there were statistically significant differences between dump trucks using nets and dump trucks without nets in terms of actual load capacity, losses, and empty fruit bunch transportation time.
