Abstract
Pabrik Gula Bone merupakan Pabrik Gula Pertama yang dibangun
pemerintahan di luar Jawa bersamaan PG Cot Girek di Aceh. PG Bone diresmikan oleh Presiden Republik Indonesia, Bapak Soeharto pada tanggal 15 Oktober 1975 disaat melaksanakan giling perdana. Pabrik Gula Bone memiliki sejarah yang
panjang dan beragam perkembangan seiring berjalannya waktu. Semuanya dimulai pada tahun 1960 dengan Keputusan MPRS No. 11 Tahun 1960 tanggal 19 Juli 1960 terkait “Agreement on the economic cooperation between the goverment of Czhechoslovak Socialist Republik and Republik of Indonesia” yang mengatur kerja sama ekonomi antara Republik Indonesia dan Republik Sosialis Cekoslowakia.
